Bring on the Fall!

It's finally Fall! We are so excited to have cooler weather (not really) and football. We have been very busy already traveling to GA for games. Amelia has been busy going to birthday parties, having fun at ballet, gymnastics, and visiting family.

The End of Summer....

I can't believe it's over, it's back to school and a "schedule," if you want to call it that, for our house. Summer was great for us. We had fun swimming, going to the beach, visiting with family, cleaning up the house, moving Amelia's bedroom, eating popsicles, and just having fun. Here are some pictures of some of our last days of the summer.

Amelia has come so far in swimming this summer, she can do it without swimmies and is just like a fish.

Amelia and her future prom date.

All three kids at the playground, what fun we had!

Amelia and Mommy went to Orange Beach with our good friends. It was so much fun!

I went with the Crestline girls to the beach to celebrate Nancy's birthday, we had a BLAST!

Daddy has become quite the chef in our house. He does all the cooking at night (which is AWESOME). He got a great cookbook for kids with his Father's Day gift and Amelia helped in make burgers and fries one night-YUM!

What a fun week!

It's been a fun week in the Preston household.
We went swimming with our good friend Carlee. Amelia LOVES her (and so does her mommy) and she was lots of fun to swim with.
Amelia liked to swim "back and forth" as she calls it from mommy to Carlee.
This is Amelia's teacher, Ms. Taffy. They have on matching Tshirts but you can't see them in the pictures. Amelia adores her teachers.

I started out the week by going to visit the Rick and Bubba show. It's a radio show that is based here in Birmingham. I listen every morning (and in the afternoon when they have a replay) and so does my friend Bradley. She and I teach together and most of our lunch conversations revolve around what they said on the radio. When it's not revolving around our kids and husbands. So for her birthday I got her tickets to the show. I had to reserve them in February but we couldn't go until July. We arrived bright and early with snacks in hand on Monday. It was so much fun. They are such nice guys and they are just as funny in person and off air as they are on the radio!

Busy Bea Day Camp

Amelia went to the "Busy Bea" Preschool Camp at our church this week. She had so much fun and learned about the beatitudes. At the end of the week she got some goodies including a cowgirl hat, bandanna, and t-shirt. My mom got some good pictures of her...

She had to wear her hat like Busy Bea did, on her back!

Cute cowgirl!

All decked out!

My mom made this picture in Georgia and I just thought it was pretty. I love blackeyed susans.

Beach Trip!

We just returned from a WONDERFUL beach trip. We spent 10 wonderful days in Panama City Beach, Florida with our families. We had visits from Nana, Derf, Mimi, Papa, Aunt Gail, Mandy, Lockett, Kevin, Granny, Owen and Joseph. There are LOTS of pictures but here are a few of the highlights.

Aunt Gail, Mandy, Claude, and Amelia

I think the fish and turtles actually got that piece.

Amelia loved feeding the fish and turtles (and herself) outside our condo.

Tristin and Jackson came to the beach too!

Daddy's big amberjack

Daddy and Papa caught LOTS of fish, Amelia even got in the picture with them and the fish.

Cousin Owen came to the beach with us. He was LOTS of fun to play with.

Amelia got to go golfing with Daddy and Derf. She was the cutest caddy ever!

Amelia and Daddy rode go carts-they were both VERY excited.

We went to watch Daddy come in from fishing.

Couldn't she be a Kelly's Kids Model ?!?

It's much easier to take pictures of her now, I remember when she was a baby and we tried to do this, she ended up with her face in the sand.

A Bunch of Random Pics and News

Amelia and Mommy enjoying a dip in the pool. For Coach John, she will swim without her floaties, not so much for me and Daddy. Maybe by the end of the summer...

The one hope I have for Amelia is to be a happy young lady who loves Jesus, but a second hope that I have for her (and her Aunt Jackie) is to become a Kappa Delta. I found my old jersey and tried it on her-how cute. Her Daddy, not so happy, no! no! he said, take it off, turn away Amelia! What's up with that??!!?

Cute red faced Amelia.

Enjoying a sweet treat from the ice cream man, the highlight of our days in the summer. Probably why she had 3 cavities, huh?

Amelia and her dentist, Dr. Rohner, who she loves, or did. She had her first cavity filled yesterday and now I think she probably doesn't love her as much.

This is a picture of the family (obviously) made at Nana and Derf's before Claude and I went out with Jackie and Thad for my birthday.

Just Keep Swimming, Just Keep Swimming....

Amelia has been taking swimming lessons at her at her school for a little over a year now. She is doing very well with her lessons, although she is not completely convinced that going underwater is the best thing to do. She LOVES her coach, Coach John. She talks about him any time we are in the pool or in the bathtub. She makes me or Mimi be Coach John and play swimming lessons with her. I got to go and watch swim on Friday and it was great to see what all she can do.

See, she can do it all by herself!!!

Our swimming bug-she looked so cute in goggles, but she was FREEZING in the water
